Maintaining Your Ductless AC

Who wants their home to be cool and quiet at the same time? Probably everyone. Ductless AC units offer both great cooling ability and quiet operation — as long as you keep them in good condition. If you need some help maintaining your ductless AC, follow these tips!

Clean or Replace the Filters

We can’t stress this enough. Dirty filters can seriously prevent your ductless AC from working well. Your unit will also make a lot more noise if it’s trying to push cold air through dirty filters. Not to mention, if you have a dirty filter, your unit will be blowing dirty air into your home. Can you say, “gross?” Aim to clean or replace your filters once a month in order to keep your AC in tip-top shape and the air you breathe clean.

Clean the Pipes

Make sure to keep the pipes connecting your ductless AC to the outside compressor clean. If they get too much dust build-up on them or are obstructed in any way, your unit won’t work nearly as well. That will make your unit work harder and will raise your energy costs.

Keep Your Compressor Clean

The second your compressor breaks down, you’re really in trouble. It’s important to make sure there is no debris blocking air from getting to your compressor and to keep the unit clean at all times.

At Ace Solves It All, we’re experts at AC repair and maintenance. We’ll help you keep your ductless AC running well all year long. But if it does break down, we’ve got that covered too. For more information or to schedule a service, call us at (407) 499-8006.
