Electrical Panels in Orlando, FL
The heart of the electrical system of your house is the circuit breaker panel (a.k.a. the electrical panel). This panel is the main switching station for the circuits that send electricity to the lights and appliances, and it guards your home from dangerous overloads by cutting off circuits when necessary.
If you have a circuit breaker panel that is either not working right or is outdated and unable to handle the rising electrical demands throughout the household, you must have the problem corrected as soon as possible. Like almost all electrical jobs, it takes licensed electricians to service an electrical panel.
The experts at Ace Solves It All in Orlando, FL are here to see that you receive the highest quality work your electrical panel needs, from complete upgrades to fast repairs and rewiring. Never take a chance when it comes to the electrical system of your home: let our electricians see that everything is done right and that your home is kept up to code.

Should You Replace the Circuit Breaker Panel?
If you live in an older home that still uses a fuse box rather than a circuit breaker panel, you should have it replaced immediately.
Fuse boxes are already decades out of date and potentially dangerous. But older circuit breaker panels sometimes need a replacement as well if they can’t keep up with a home’s electrical demands. The average house needs 200 amps of power, and if the circuit breaker panel keeps tripping or parts of your house are losing power, it may be due to an outdate panel in need of an upgrade.
You should also consider a new circuit breaker panel if you’re adding on to your house, since you will need more power. Also be aware that your insurance company may penalize you with higher premiums for your home insurance if you have a fuse box or an out–of–date circuit box in place.
Federal Pacific Electric Panels
If your home was built or renovated any time from the 1950s to the 1980s it may have a Federal Pacific Electric (FPE) circuit breaker panel in place. FPE was a popular manufacturer of circuit breaker panels around this time, so millions of panels were installed throughout the country.
Unfortunately, many of these boxes are defective and very dangerous. Testing has shown that about 1 in 4 of Stab–Lok breakers inside of the panel is defective. The breaker may not trip, leaving your home vulnerable to an electrical fire. Thousands of fires start each year because of these panels.
Keep your family safe. Call us if you have an FPE panel so that we can replace it with one that works. Check the outside of the box for the Federal Pacific Electric logo, and look for the phrase "Stab–Lok" inside.
The Importance of Professional Electrical Box Services
This cannot be overstated enough: only licensed electricians should work on a residential electrical system. This is especially true for such a vital piece of equipment as the breaker box, where a failure could result in the triggering of an electrical fire.
The process of repairing or installing an electrical panel is too complicated for DIY work and it will create numerous risks. Often, installing a panel requires additional rewiring work and other upgrades for the electrical system. Only a licensed electrician knows how to wire in a new panel or fix malfunctions while also keeping a house current with the local electrical code.
